Take David Bowie’s only son, Zowie Bowie (AKA Duncan Jones), and get him to direct Sam Rockwell – who knows his way around a spaceship (Galaxy Quest, Hitchhiker’s Guide) and quirky, loner perfomances (Box of Moonlight, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind).

Add Kevin Spacey as the space station’s HAL-like robot voice. Include a score by the brilliant Clint Mansell. And set it on the moon.

What else do you need for a quality Sci-Fi film about a man who appears to be losing his mind in space?

Already released elsewhere in the world, it looks like SA will get it mid-October. Obviously saving the release for my birthday, which is nice of them.
